Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Key to the Castle 2026 Movie Review
A ghost-hunting docuseries named Before and Afterlife arrives to film at the local Irish castle. The show’s host and co-showrunner are both murdered on the set. Since Gethsemane (Tamara Mowry Housley) can communicate with the dead, she is enlisted by one of the victim’s brand-new spirit to find the killer, and is accompanied by her ghostly companion, Eamon McCarthy (Risteárd Cooper). Suspects are a plenty: A bitter divorced couple and co-workers, on-set rivalries, a spurned infatuated employee, and hidden secrets from the victim’s past.
Tamara is an absolute delight, she brings warmth, charisma, wit, and humor to her role as Gethsemane. Eamon is perfect as her ghostly companion. However, I didnt get much chemistry between Gethsemane and the two men vying for her attention Griff (Marco Grazzini) had a miniscule part in this episode, and Inspectator O’ Reilly (Adam Fergus) seems more like a friend to me. Maybe these relationships will develop more.
The mystery aspect was okay, the many suspects kept you guessing, but there was just something missing along the way to solving the mystery, to give it a bit smoother and cohesive flow. Overall, it was a decent mystery, I loved the scenery and backdrop of Ireland. I’ll certainly be watching future episodes love the Gethsemane character.
