Money Trap: The Karun Treasure Review 2026 Tv Show Series Cast Crew Online
Yilmaz Erdogan seems to have run out of steam. This is nowhere near the quality of the original Money Trap and simply doesn’t have a story that deserves to be turned into a series.
It has absolutely nothing going for it. The actors deliver incredibly artificial performances and fail to bring their characters to life convincingly. The only actors who manage to keep the series somewhat afloat are Kivanç Tatlitug, Ezgi Mola and Uraz Kaygilaroglu. The roles played by the others are neither believable nor entertaining. In fact, there are even a few actors whose presence feels entirely unnecessary, but I won’t name them out of consideration for their feelings.
The cinematography is standard TV series fare, with endless fast and slow drone shots of Istanbul accompanied by upbeat music featuring the clarinet. Dialogues are short, meaningless, devoid of humour and, at times, incredibly boring. Personally, I expected something of much higher quality from Yilmaz Erdogan as a writer.
However, it seems that the Money Trap franchise has reached a dead end and crashed headfirst into a wall. I sincerely hope there won’t be another instalment and that this franchise ends here.
