Missing You Review 2025 Tv Show Series Cast Crew Online
This is not an action packed series, but I did enjoy the mystery theme of it and there was some good action towards the end.
The series stars Rosalind Eleazar as Kat Donovan a detective inspector who works with the police in the missing persons department. Unfortunately 11 years ago Kat’s father, Clint Donovan (Lenny Henry) passed away and shortly after that her fiance, Josh Buchana (Ashley Walters) disappeared without a trace. Now, 11 year later, Kat suddenly matches with Josh on a dating app and the first thing she says is pretty much, “Hey, remember that song we sang together in a pub on Karaoke when we were together.” And during the first 3 episodes we are also constantly shown flashbacks of Kat and Josh singing this song in the pub which makes these episodes too repetitive and too romantic. Also this is really unbelievable because the first thing I would say, is where the heck have you been or why did you suddenly leave me without contacting me afterwards?
Shortly after Kat finds Josh on a dating app a teenager reports his Mum as missing after she went on holiday with Josh. There is also a side plot about somebody else going missing and getting kidnapped. And it’s the mystery of what happened to these missing people that kept me interested. The episodes are also cleverly done so that you get a bit more information in each one and every episode ends on a cliffhanger.
The twists that are revealed at the end are also really good and there is some good action in the last episode, but I would have preferred more shooting scenes and maybe a few car chases. Unfortunately one of the henchmen does some poor acting towards the end of the show and the main bad guys face is shown quite early on in the series which spoilt it a bit for me.
But overall I did enjoy this series, although now that I know what the twists are I probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much if I watched the series again. However, if they make a spin off/2nd series I would be interested in watching it.
