Thriller films in which a big heist is planned, if there is tightness in their script and logic and speed in direction, then they are very successful in tying the audience. Here too, on the surface, it seems that what we saw was different, out of place, it was trying, but after some time when the boil of emotions cools down, then the holes of its script are clearly visible. Well the story is different that diamonds are to be stolen in a plane but the plane itself gets hijacked. But there are many such moments in its screenplay when it seems that the writers have made a mistake, even the examiners could not keep a sharp eye on it. Sometimes the intelligence of those characters who were hijacking the airplane is also doubted that how can such common people do such special planning. Well, if there is a film then there must be ‘filminess’ in it.
Sunny Kaushal is slowly opening his wings. You can’t be disappointed with their work. Yami Gautam knows how to play her characters well. Sharad Kelkar’s character should have got more detail. The rest of the cast was fine. The music and songs remained simple.
Director Ajay Singh has earlier made two light films which did not get any buzz. This time he got a big chance and he tried his best. But the film seems to be slipping out of his hands at some places. Somewhere its pace slows down and sometimes editing swings it.
Despite these shortcomings, this thriller film on Netflix has enough to make it a one-time watch, provided you have nothing else to watch. In the end, being a little light, a little helpless, it may have left the possibility of a sequel, but it does not leave much curiosity for that sequel.
