Absolutely Devoted to You 2026 Movie Review
Hallmark annually does movies to celebrate the summer season and this is the best one yet. There is a lot of fun and charm here as well as some drama as Kaitlin works to re-unite a boys band from the past for her television morning show, a pretty unique premise for a Hallmark movie that is quite well written. The characters are all very endearing and well-played by the entire cast. Kimberley Sustad as Kaitlin is terrific yet again – giving another smart, stylized, and emotional performance. The real surprise here is Jesse Metcalfe as the grown up boy band frontman who wants nothing to do with his past. This is some of Metcalfe’s best work yet. He is excellent here.
An added bonus is Titiana Ostapowych as the morning show co-host who is obviously a take-off on Kathie Lee Gifford. Titiana does an amazing and hilarious impersonation of Kathie Lee – where did Hallmark find her ? She is spot on and Gifford, a Hallmark vet herself who even worked with Sustad in Godwink Christmas, is probably delighted with this.
All in all, this is an entertaining way to spend a summer evening – the locales and sets are colorful and cheerful – and the movie is well directed by Stacey Harding. The film even has one of the best songs ever written in a Hallmark movie : “Hotter Than July”. It has a very expensive sound and is extremely well performed by the actors – it’s sort of a tribute to the days when ‘NSync and the Backstreet Boys ruled the record industry.
